Modification to programmable logic controller (PLC) of injection moulding machine
|
| Problem | Company manufactured plastic containers using an injection moulding machine. A pneumatic nozzle was used to inject air to form the shape of container. Noise was generated when the nozzle was retracted once the container was formed. |
| Solution | The programmable logic controller (PLC) of the machine was modified to incorporate a slow release of air. This eliminated a popping sound at the end of each cycle. |
